Welcome and Club Update

Fall 2015

Hello runners,

We hope you’ve been enjoying the great Fall running weather! As the temperatures dip and the days get shorter, we are so fortunate to have such an inspiring group of women runners in our club supporting each other. Longtime member Margaret Randle captures that spirit in her video about our club and its history - a “must-watch” if you haven’t seen it yet.

Our Wednesday workouts continue to be well attended with a number of new members bringing energy and excitement to our group. For both our newer members and those who’ve been members for many years, we encourage you to share feedback on our club. Have a running goal? A specific interest? A new idea? Let us know!

As we move into the Winter months, I know we’re all hoping for mild weather and a lot less snow this year. We look forward to seeing you at our weekly workouts, on training runs, therapy runs and joyful runs.

Baystate Half and Full Marathon. Congratulations to our Striders who ran the full marathon. You all ran BQ times!! Woo hoo! Also congratulations to our Striders who ran the half marathon!!! Great job everybody!!

Columbus Day Weekend Races. Congrats to all the Striders who ran the BAA Half, Tufts 10K and Wayland XC Festival this weekend!!!! Extra kudos to the Striders for placing 2nd in both the Masters and Veterans Team Divisions in the BAA Half!!!!
MEMBERSHIP. To renew/join SSRC for 2016-17, please download the membership form/waiver. Fill it out and mail with your check (payable to "SSRC") to Kathleen Woodward. Our annual fee is $150. If you aren't a member of USATF already, please join as it is a requirement for SSRC membership. Thanks!!
