Welcome and Club Update

Fall 2015

Hello runners,

We hope you’ve been enjoying the great Fall running weather! As the temperatures dip and the days get shorter, we are so fortunate to have such an inspiring group of women runners in our club supporting each other. Longtime member Margaret Randle captures that spirit in her video about our club and its history - a “must-watch” if you haven’t seen it yet.

Our Wednesday workouts continue to be well attended with a number of new members bringing energy and excitement to our group. For both our newer members and those who’ve been members for many years, we encourage you to share feedback on our club. Have a running goal? A specific interest? A new idea? Let us know!

As we move into the Winter months, I know we’re all hoping for mild weather and a lot less snow this year. We look forward to seeing you at our weekly workouts, on training runs, therapy runs and joyful runs.

2017-18 MEMBERSHIP. It's time to renew your annual SSRC membership!! Our new fiscal year begins on April 1. To join SSRC for 2017-18, please download the membership form/waiver. Fill it out and mail with your check ($150, payable to "SSRC") to Susan McNatt. If you aren't a member of USATF already, please join as it is a requirement for SSRC membership. Thanks!!

Runners Raising Funds. Please check out our Runners Raising Funds Page. These are members who are running the Boston Marathon and raising money for a specific charity.
Winter Track. We are currently indoors at Babson College on Wednesday mornings. The indoor season runs through March 29. The cost to participate indoors is $75. Please send in your checks (made out to "SSRC) to Sue McNatt. You MUST be a member of USATF to participate.
Upcoming Races. Please check out our Upcoming Races page. There are lots of races that Striders are either running in or organizing!
Tuesday Evening Workouts Return. Tuesday evening workouts have returned!!! Please email Mary at [email protected] for more information.
